Joining Sheriff Tompkins onstage will be the women of the Boston City Council, including: Council President Andrea J. Campbell, At-Large Councilors Ayanna Pressley, Michelle Wu, and Annissa Essaibi George, and newly-elected City Councilors Kim Janey (District 7) and Lydia Edwards (District 1). The discussion will feature a number of the critical and pressing issues faced by residents of Boston and the Commonwealth beyond, with topics such as: public safety, mass incarceration and rehabilitation, housing, employment and much more.
The event, which is free and open to the public, will be held on Tuesday, February 27, 2018 from 6:00pm to 8:00pm (doors open at 5:30) at Roxbury Community College inside the Media Arts Center.
