Public Hearing on Monday, April 9 from 6-7pm at 26 Court Street. Residents will be invited to make a one-minute statement on the needs and possibilities for CPA funds in their neighborhood and citywide. Afterwards the Community Preservation Committee will discuss, amend, and approve Boston's first Community Preservation Plan - a guide for 2018 decision-making. The Plan will be updated every year.
On www.boston.gov/community-preservation you will find the draft Community Preservation Plan, an application, including an eligibility form, and the spring timeline. This Pilot Program is a smaller funding round for shovel-ready projects that are ready to begin this summer and fall. It gives the Community Preservation Committee an opportunity to evaluate their process before beginning a larger round of funding in Fall 2018. As you know, Boston will have $20 million for affordable housing, historic preservation, and parks and open space every year.
