David Goldman is a trailblazer and responsible for many developments of the revitalization in the South End. He is a Principal of New Boston Ventures, the award-winning real estate and housing development firm behind the groundbreaking restoration of the Allen House Mansion on Worcester Square/Washington Street, and including Dover Lofts, the Modern, the Allen House , Lawrence Court,Zero Worcester Square , and most recently The Lucas, a high-profile and striking architectural reimaging of a 19th Century church.
Other notable projects include: Boulevard on the Greenway, a magnificent 36-residence development located on the Rose Kennedy Greenway; The Modern, a stunning contemporary 62-unit loft style condominium, and the highly acclaimed redevelopment of the Old Salem Jail.
David serves on the board of Washington Gateway Main Street and is a member of the Old Dover Neighborhood Association. He is also a long-time supporter of the Boston Center for the Arts and contributes to several community organizations including Pine Street Inn, Friends of Hayez Park, Blackstone Community Center, Peters Park, Fenway Community, Zakim Center for Integrative Therapies, Shakespeare on the common, South End Little League Baseball, and Rose Kennedy Greenway. Prior to his career in Real Estate David served as the chief financial officer for United States Senator Paul Tsongas in Washington and Boston . He lives in one of his South End projects, The Lucas, with his spouse of 41 years.
