Kristin Phelan

South End resident, Kristin Phelan, brings over 15 years of strategic communications, placemaking, economic development and experiential marketing experience.  As the principal of KP Strategies, the former member of the Boston Redevelopment Authority staff has a unique ability to think out of the box and connect businesses and communities members.   In less than two years, Phelan has built a consulting group that has quickly developed a reputation for their ability to influencer change and drive results through the creation of experiences. From government to corporate, tech to non-profit, tourism, real estate development, advertising, Phelan’s tenacity and determination has led to her involvement in some of the region’s most game changing projects and initiatives. These include: the building of Boston’s fastest growing neighborhood – Ink Block, the redevelopment of Somerville’s Union Square, the revitalization of Downtown Crossing, the launch of Boston’s Innovation District, the creation of Faneuil Hall’s nationally recognized holiday light show – BLINK!, Boston Idea Week, Boston Calling, LATE Night MBTA, implementation of the Boston Redevelopment Authority’s digital and social communication with the public.  Kristin loves the South End Neighborhood and is involved in many facets. Most recently, she co-founded the New York Streets Neighborhood Association.
